Actor-director S J Suryah sustained serious injuries while shooting a stunt sequence for the movie ‘Newtonin 3am Vidhi’ near Chennai Saturday. He was rushed to a private hospital with bleeding injuries.

S J Suryah is currently acting in the lead role in ‘Newtonin 3am Vidhi’, directed by Thaimuthu Selvan.

A chasing scene choreographed by stunt master 'Action' Prakash was shot near Velacherry on Saturday morning. Suryah, who was riding a motorcycle, was supposed to hit a car coming in the opposite direction.

Unfortunately Suryah lost control of the vehicle and slipped. In the melee, he hit the headlight of the car and sustained cut injuries near his eyes. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital nearby.

Doctors advised 15 days of rest for him. The shooting was eventually called off.
