The first blockbuster of the year completes its fifty days in style.
'Annan Thampi' - the Mammooty flick which made a thunderous start in 75 centers, marches to fifty days in 35 centers all across the state. The movie seems to be a much bigger affair in collection statistics than even Rajamanikyam and Classmates that were the blockbusters of 2005 and 2006.
With the movie's mega success, its director Anwar Rasheed also completes his hatrick in hit making, the earlier two being 'Rajamanikyam' and 'Chotta Mumbai'.
Annan Thampi also is the biggest hit of Marikkar Films who has been associating with the superstar from their previous two ventures -'Big B' and 'Roudram'.
The banner had been indeed lucky to create movies that always made good initial collections. The two films that they distributed 'Hello' and 'Nasrani' also ended up as profit makers.
In fact 'Hello', with Mohanlal in the lead, was the second biggest earner of 2007.
