As a part of the 12th year Vijayanagara Bimba's summer camp for children the annual 'Kiriyara Katakate'(children court) had 'Dhuniya' fame Vijay in the witness box for the mock court in which 20 children in advocates attire posed questions to the actor. 'Mungaru Male' fame director Yogaraj Bhat was the judge at this mock court. In the previous years for this children court Dr.Vishnuvrdhana, Malashri, Shruthi, Ramesh Aravind, Golden star Ganesh and other took part in a lively session.
Although it was a mock court the frank admissions from actor Vijay and director Yogaraj Bhat came out from the heart.

- Work hard, do work continuously and be devoted to your work is my mantra.
- I like the simplicity and attitude of Tamil superstar Rajanikanth. I want to ape his down to earth qualities in personal life.
- With utmost care to my costume if I go to functions people ask me whether I have taken the bath a few days ago. I am not worried for this teasing.
- My grandfather used to stage plays, my father wanted to be in acting. He could not. But I am in to it. This is my grandfather genes to me.
- Directing film is like looking after 100 children by a mother. That is not possible for me.
- If I become CM for one day I will pass an order to remove all aged people from work. I would give opportunities to youngsters. Persons doing injustice I want to shoot them.
- I have received caustic remarks for acting in the beginning. Director of 'Dhuniya' used to hold a stone in one hand and make me act.
- With children I want to do a film like 'Tarzan'.
- Stunt is not possible in every film. I always believe in my style and specialty should be there in my films.

- Director S.Narayan (who directed 'Chanda' of Vijay) is my permanent enemy in life.

Director of repute Yogaraj Bhat after hearing the one hour question and answer session passed a verdict that actor Vijay should enact one of the episodes of his stage plays. Vijay followed the instructions and did the mono acting of Shakuni and Duryodhana with speedy and punchy dialogues that received wonderful applause.
Director Yogaraj Bhat on this occasion said there is 'God' in the eye of the little children. Childhood days the best one in life he opined.
The founder of 'Kiriyara Kate Kate' and Vijayanagara Bimba veteran A.S.Murthy the highly respected actor, theater personality and journalist welcomed the gathering and proposed a vote of thanks. Smt.Gauri Dattu, Smt.Shoba Venktesh and Dr.Kashyap conducted the well organized, well attended interesting 'Kiriyara Kate Kate' event.
