With the advent of all Vishu films, the mollywood box office is more engaging than usual. The top five movies in the top of the charts are

1.'Annan Thampi' - This new movie from Mammootty rules the CBO with an impressive opening grossing around a crore from its initial couple of days. Being shown in 75 centers in the state, ‘Annan Thampi’ is way ahead of all other films and is an assured hit, if it can hold on for another three days.

2. 'Innathe Chintha Vishayam' - The feel good Mohanlal movie had a good opening week and picked up gradually after a slow start. In the metros and cities, the movie is faring very well even though that cannot be said about other lesser centers.

3.’Cycle' - The movie entering its seventy fifth days is a safer bet even now. The honest script lines and a superb direction and presentations are the pluses of this movie which is already touted as the first genuine hit of the year.

4. 'Mulla' - ‘Mulla’ fails to keep its going and survives with lesser takers in major centers. Dileep will have to wait for still another movie to realize that long elusive super hit.

5. 'Katha Parayumpol'- The movie in its 120 days is still attracting audiences in major cities and is the most demanded film on shifting theatres.
