Ajith Kumar and Nayantara starrer 'Billa' completes 100 days on last Saturday (March 22). The movie is a super hit and a biggest money grosser of recent times after Superstar Rajinikanths 'Sivaji'. The movie is said to have collected Rs 5.2 crore in Chennai alone.
The movie, directed by Vishnuvardhan is hailed as the most stylish movie of recent times. Ajiths cool and stylish performance has made the film enjoyable, while Nayantaras daring appraoch in terms of her outfits and the way she carried herself have added the attraction to the movie. The movie has undoubtadly incresed the star value of the lead pair. While Ajith is back to the top slot after a few failures, Nayantara has got many offers coming her way post 'Billa'.
When the movie was announced everyone was skeptical about recreating the magic of Superstar in the original 'Billa'. Vishnu and his team did not try to emulate or outsmart Superstars 'Billa'. Instead they just made a film taking inspiration from the original and came out triumph with a stylish and slick presentation. The youthful and trendy music by Yuvan Shankar Raja added value to the fare.
Ajith has proved that he is still among the top with a great opening. He had a sequence of failures in films like 'Ji', 'Thiruppathi' and 'Aazhvaar'. Even his much anticipated movie 'Kireedam' did not do well at the box office. Any other star with so many setbacks would have been bogged down by these failures. But Ajith, who believs in himself, raised like a pheonix and proved his worth.
The Ultimate Star has proved that he is an Evergreen Star. He has justified the faith the of investors have in him. By coming out with an outstanding success, he has proved his worth as a star and a fighter, who never lets his confidence go down.
Hats off to Ajith, the evergreen star.
