I am keen on an image makeover, says actor – director S.J. Suryah. Having gained the reputation that he would come up with double entendre and spicy scenes on screen in his films, Suryah has chosen cautiously to avoid such scenes in his forthcoming 'Vil'.

“I started my career as director with 'Vaali' and followed it up with 'Kushi'. Both helped establish myself in the industry. At this juncture, I ventured to act with New and A… Ah. It was my desire to act which propelled me to continue it. However, I have been branded as the actor, who speaks loud on screen.”

It is now time for an image makeover, Suryah says. 'Vil' is an attempt in this direction. Debutant director Prabhakar impressed me narrating a totally different story and I decided to do it immediately, Suryah says and adds, “NIC Arts Chakravarthy was obliged top produce the film”.

Starring Sherin in the female lead, the movie would be an innovative attempt in Tamil cinema, he adds.
