Director Rama Subbu's maiden venture 'Kattradhu Thamizh' starring Jeeva and Anjali was released last week all across Tamilnadu. Unlike routine Tamil cinemas which are hero-centric, 'Kattradhu Thamizh' deals about the trauma a youth undergoes after studying Tamil.

The emotional saga opened well in all theatres.

However at several places the audience expressed their displeasure at the slow narration towards the second half. As a result of which, the director has trimmed few portions in the latter half of the movie.

Actor Karunaas, who plays a prominent role in the movie, has taken the distribution rights of the movie. He says, ‘The response from the audience has been encouraging’.
