Jeevan's Machaakkaran is fast shaping up for a release. Directed by Thamizhvanan, who wielded the megaphone for Kalvanin Kadhali, the movie features Kamna Jethmalani in the female lead.

Talking about the Machakaran, Thamizhvanan says, "When I penned the story, I thought Jeevan would be appropriate for it. I approached him and he agreed without hesitation to be part of the film".

Machaakkaran is a racy entertainer laced with a message he adds. Produced by Madras Entertainment Limited, the movie has musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja and cinematography by Venkatesh. Raju Sundaram (choreography) and Anthony (editing) are the other important names in the movie.

Malavika has appeared for a song in the movie. Malavika has already played Jeevan's heroine in Naan Avanillai. What more, the director has cast 11 comedians in the movie, which is never attempted in any Tamil cinema before.

In Yuvanshankar Raja's musical score maestro Ilayaraja has sung a soothing number. It is sure to delight the music-buffs, says Thamizhvanan. It is different from the regular mainstream cinema, he adds.
