The Tamil Film Producers Council has urged the producers of the movies Porukki starring Sundar C and Silambarasan's Kettavan to opt for another title.

Following complaints that these titles were derogatory and hurt the sentiments of few people, the honchos of the Tamil Film Producers Council convened an urgent meeting in Chennai recently.

It was unanimously decided at the meeting that the names of these two movies should be changed immediately.

They decided not to recommend the movies for tax exemption until they opt for another title.

It may be recalled that Chief Minister M Karunanidhi had recently announced that movies titled in Tamil would be given entertainment tax exemption.
