Celebrating 75 years of Tamil cinema

The Nadigar Sangam's series of celebrations to celebrate 75 years of Tamil cinema kicked off in Singapore on Monday.

Sarath Kumar, president, Nadigar Sangam inaugurated the celebrations with a special screening of yesteryear hero MGR's blockbuster Nadodi Mannan.

He said, “The series of celebrations would recall the achievements of several stalwarts of the Tamil filmdom. Various films musical shows and seminars would be screened on the occasion”.

Among those present on the occasion included Sarath Kumar, Radhika Sarath Kumar, veteran actress Sri Priya and director S A Chandrasekhar.

The mega star nite by Nadigar Sangam in Singapore (initially scheduled for 11 August) would be held on 6 October. It would be followed by a similar show in San Francisco, USA, on 21, 22 and 23 November.
