With Chennai 600028, the maiden directorial venture of Venkat Prabhu is nearing a 100-day completion, several offers come knocking at his doors to wield the megaphone.

Busy acting with Madhavan in Vazhthukal, Venkat Prabhu says, “It is true that Chennai 600028 has brought recognition for me as a successful director”.

Denying rumors that he would be directing Ajith soon, Venkat Prabhu said that his next venture is titled Desiya Nedunchalai 47. It would be newcomers in the lead roles with musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja and cinematography by Sakthi Saravanan.

“Premji Gangai Amaran would play a pivotal role in the film”, he said.

Meanwhile, plans are on to celebrate the 100th day of Chennai 600028 in a grand manner and on 5 August, a mega event is being organized at Chennai Trade Centre in which who's who of Kollywood and those excelled in sports would take part.
