Kushboo's serious portrayal as Nagammai in the movie Periyar has won her acclaims.

Asked whether she aspires for honours and awards for her performance in the movie, 'No' is her reply.

“I don't aspire for awards. I was impressed with the character and agreed to act in the movie”, she says. Thrilled, at her husband Sundar C making a mark as hero, Kushboo says, “I am really happy. The response for Veerapu should be high since it's a very good script”.
