Thangar Bachchan's Pallikoodam is inspired by his novel Kalavadiya Paguthigal (Stolen Moments).

Thangar says, “All my earlier films including Azhagi and Solla Marandha Kadhai were inspired by my novels. I don't write novels for cinema. What I observe becomes literature and later it gets translated on celluloid”.

Dwelling more on the movie, he says, “It will take the viewers to their school days and make them wonder about their contribution to the school”.

Naren, Sneha, Shreya, Seeman and Thangar himself are in the cast.

Thangar adds, “Naren has abundant talent. He appears as district collector while Seeman is a filmmaker. I am a laborer on daily wages, Sneha is a teacher and Shreya is a midwife. They all have studied in the same school. They look back and wonder if they have given back anything to their school”.

Bharadwaj has scored the music.
