“Movies set around Madurai always succeed. I am hopeful that Karuppusamy Kuthagaitharar too would reap harvest at the box office”, says Karan.

The movie features Karan in the lead role with debutant Meenakshi playing his heroine. The movie is set in Madurai and Karan has trimmed and lost several kilograms to play the role.

Talking about the film, Karan says, “It is an out-and-out action film. I have spoken Madurai Tamil in the movie. We shot for over 52 days in Madurai and its adjoining villages”.

Post Kokki, “I received a lot of offers. However I wanted my next to have a strong storyline. Thankfully I came across Karuppusamy Kuthagaitharar. Music by Dheena is very catchy. Our entire team is confident of hitting the bull's eye in the movie”, he adds.
