Director Gowtham's Pachai Kili Muthusaram starring Sarath Kumar and Ezhil's Deepavali with Jeyam Ravi playing the lead role, have opted out of the Pongal race.

While the former has reportedly backed out due to lack of theatres, the latter needs few more days to complete the shooting.

This harvest festival, Ajith's Aalwar, Vijay's Pokiri, Vijayakanth starrer Sabari, Vijaya T Rajendher's Veerasaami, Vishal's Thamirabharani and director Ameer's Paruthi Veeran are confirmed for release. The Tamil version of Manirathinam's Guru will also hit the screens.

Pachai Kili Muthusaram starring Sarath Kumar and Jyothika was expected for release this December. But the director has plans otherwise. He is keen to release the movie this February.

Says Ezhil, "We are planning to shoot a few scenes more for Deepavali. Hence we have decided to defer its release by February."
