Sarath Kumar is playing the role of a doctor in his Vaitheeswaran being directed by debutant Maheswar.

Buzz is that the story will also have the concept of re-birth running through it.

Sanjana, who played the heroine in Kokki, plays the female lead. Meghna Naidu is also in the cast.

Maheswar had earlier written the story and screenplay for movies including the Karthik and Meena starrer Harichandra and the Satyaraj flick Vanakkam Thalaivaa.

Work is going on in full swing and the film would be released later next year.

Maheswar said, “It is a tailor-made role for Sarath Kumar. Impressed with the story, Sarath Kumar immediately chose to go ahead with the project.”

“An action-packed entertainer, Vaitheeswaran would have a strong message for the society,” he adds.
