Sheela, who made her debut as heroine in Ilavattam, is the latest to give the Malayalam heroines in Tamil cinema a run for their money.

The tall and cute-looking actor made a good beginning with Ilavattam. Sheela got due recognition after the film was released and she is now cast opposite Prasanna in Cheena Thana and Arun Vijay in Vedha.

Sheela has acted in over a dozen films as a child artiste including Nandha, Dum Dum Dum and Dheena.

Says Sheela, “It was my childhood dream to become a heroine. I am now acting in a couple of movies in Tamil besides a big project in Kannada.”

Sheela is playing dual roles in a Kannada movie titled Ninae Bandho opposite Saurav.

Says the actress, “My priority is Tamil. But I came across an excellent script in Kannada and decided to do it immediately.”

Not averse to glamour, she says that she would do roles which are not obscene or vulgar.
