Though essentially a Hindi movie, there is a lot of curiosity over Mani Rathnam’s Guru in Tamil.

Mani Rathnam is going to release the movie in Tamil after dubbing. Since Madhavan is a prominent star here, the expectations are riding high.

Madhavan just had Irandu (earlier named Rendu) released. The film has opened to decent collections.

In Guru, Madhavan plays a journalist.

The man with a perceptive mind and a well-honed sense of humour says that acting as a scribe (in the film) has helped him know what it means to pose questions.

As ever, Madhavan is full of adjectives about his mentor Mani Rathnam.

“He is full of energy. During the filming of Guru, he was all charged up,” says Madhavan. He adds that Guru would be an extraordinary film. After all, his own Guru (Mani Rathnam) is extraordinary.

Madhavan says that he would do any role that Mani Rathnam asks him to do.

Madhavan is very close to Abhishek and says Guru will take Junior Bachchan many steps forward.
