What's common between actors Sathyaraj and Vijaya T Rajendhar?

To survive the onslaught of young talents in the industry, Sathyaraj has now started to evince interest in roles that suits his age. He is playing the title role in Periyar and also signed a couple of movies wherein he acts with young heroes like Jeyam Ravi.

Vijaya T Rajendher has different plans. The actor-producer-director is giving the finishing touches to Veerasaami, where he romances with Mumtaj. Also, plans are on to commence a movie that will feature him in the lead role.

Says Vijaya T Rajendhar, 'I am happy that I can still play a romantic hero when my son has entered the industry. Age is no barrier.'

Veerasaami brings together Rajendhar and Mumtaj and has a couple of duets featuring them.

'I erected huge sets and shot those songs. Their grandeur would catch everyone's attention', he says.

T Rajendhar has composed nine songs for the movie and plans are on to release the audio by 4 December and the movie for the Pongal festival.
