‘Unlike my earlier ventures, Vyapari would have all commercial elements with strong message,’ says producer- director Sakthi Chidambaram.

Taking time off from his busy schedule, Sakthi Chidambaram talks about his movie and the storyline in a freewheeling chat.

‘A major portion of my movie has been completed. Vyapari centers on a youth, who resolves to earn a penny more than software giant Bill Gates. In achieving his mission, he loses his friends, relatives and family. How he regains them back form the crux.’

Joining hands with S J Suryah for the first time, Sakthi Chidambaram has glam-dolls Namitha, Tamanna and Malavika playing heroines.

On his female leads in the movie, the director says, ‘Namitha has been my lucky mascot. She had featured in my earlier movies. In Vyapari, she plays an airhostess, while Malavika is cast as a model. Tamanna plays Suryah’s wife in the movie’.

On zeroing on Suryah, Sakthi Chidambaram, says, ‘I have been watching Suryah as an actor since his New. Quite typical to me, he knows the mass pulse. Hence I had no hesitation in casting him in the lead role’.

'Though he was a popular director, he just remained an actor in my sets.Never interfered in my work,’ adds Sakthi Chidambaram.
