Vijayakanth's forthcoming film Sabari is being shot at a hectic pace by director Suresh.

Unfortunately the shooting for the movie was cancelled on Thursday following a minor kerfuffle at the shooting spot in Puducherry.

A scene involving Vijayakanth and actress Manjari was being shot at the famous Siva Temple in Puducherry. Since the shooting was on since the morning, the temple premises were closed to facilitate the shooting.

Apparently annoyed at being denied an entry into the temple, a section of local residents had raised the issue with the crew.

Vijayakanth quickly left the scene, leaving the matter to be sorted by the film’s team. The cast and crew too decided to pack their bags.

Sabari, which is Vijayakanth's 150th film, is produced by Salem Chandrasekhar and features Jyothirmayi and Malavika in lead roles.

Normally, Vijayakanth’s films are action-packed. In Sabari’s case, even the shoot has turned out to be so.
