Director Thirumurugan had a successful jump from small screen to films. After winning the admiration of women folk with his mega serial Metti Oli, the director made it to the big screen with Em Mahan starring Nasser, Bharath and Gopika for Sathyajothy Films.

Thankfully, the movie had a good beginning and is now seen as a hit.

Buoyed by the success, Thirumurugan has started to prepare for his next film.

It looks likely that he would do a movie for A M Rathnam's Sri Surya Movies and it would feature his son Ravi Krishna in the lead role.

Ravi Krishna's recent release Kedi directed by Jothy Krishna and produced by Rathnam is doing a decent business, while his next Nandhalala (directed by Mysskin) is also produced by Rathnam.
