Buzz is that Ajith’s Godfather, lying in the cans for a longtime, would eventually hit the screens this Deepavali. The State Government’s order to grant entertainment tax exemption to movie’s titled in Tamil, has prompted producer NIC Arts Chakravarthy and director K S Ravikumar to opt for a Tamil title for the movie. Godfather has been titled as Varalaru (meaning History).

The movie featuring Ajith in three different roles is directed by K S Ravikumar and features Asin and Kanika in important roles. The music is by A R Rehman.

Meanwhile, Vijayakanth’s Perarasu, produced by Khaja Mohideen, which was lying in the cans for over a year, has been cleared of all troubles and is expected to hit the screens this week-end.

Perarasu featuring Vijayakanth in dual roles and directed by a debutant Udhayan would be released on 16 September.
