Following her debut in Karka Kasa Dara, much was expected from tall and lanky actress Lakshmi Rai. However she is now back in the groove romancing 'Captain' for Dharmapuri and also acting opposite a newcomer for Oru Kadhalan Oru Kadhali.

Asked about her experiences acting with Vijayakanth, Lakshmi Rai, says, 'Acting with Vijayakanth is a great experience for he is an actor who has been in the industry for a long time and is vastly experienced. One certainly gets motivated acting with such stalwarts.'

Heaping praises on director Perarasu, she says, ' I am grateful to Perarasu for giving me this rare opportunity to be part of Vijayakanth film. When he approached me with the offer, I decided to grab the offer immediately.'

On taking to glamour, she says, ' An actress has to do varied types of roles. I feel that doing glamour roles has become a necessity for survival of actresses. If the script demands it, one has to play glamour role. But everything within permissible limits'.
