Though she played a brief role in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu opposite Kamal Haasan, Kamalini Mukherjee is in all joy.

My dream of being part of a movie featuring my favorite personality (Kamal Haasan) is accomplished, she says.

With congratulatory message pouring in from various quarters, Kamalini is happy that her role has reached down well with the masses.

'I should thank director Gowtham Menon and Kamal Haasan for giving me this opportunity. Also a lot of modeling assignments come my way, which really thrills me', she says.

A model-turned-actress, Kamalini was introduced in Bollywood by actress-director Revathy Menon. She then acted in a few Telugu movies including Anand, Godavari and Style before taking up the role in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu.

The love and affection showed by Tamil audience has really moved me, she adds.

But Kamalini has reportedly taken a break from films for some time.
