With all works over, veteran director Mahendran's Sasanam will finally hit the screens this week-end.

Thanks to National Film Development Corporation's initiatives.

Sources say the movie has come so good that plans are on to screen the film in various film fests. With the commercial viability of the movie starring Arvindsamy, Ranjitha and Gowthami is less, expectations are high that the movie may win a couple or more national awards.

Speaking about Sasanam, Mahendran, who has rendered several blockbusters like Uthiri pookal, Nenjathai Killathe and Mullum Malarum, says, 'The film speaks about unknown customs and conventions that drive our everyday lives. I have tried to convey a strong message that everyone should care for others'.
