It is just two days after the release of Ashok, but already there are enough enquiries about whether the film is a hit or not.

As ever, it is too early to make a clear prediction. But what is clear is that Ashok has opened to very good collections. This is one of the biggest openings in recent times, said a source in the distribution network. At any rate, the opening has been better than any of Junior NTR’s recent films.

Now Junior NTR needs this one. He has seen more failures in recent times than the Indian football team.

The good news for the spunky actor is that the word mouth appreciation of the movie is good.

Though a typical masala movie, Ashok, however, has a racy edge and a technical glitz to keep the audience engrossed. The action sequences are certainly pulsating. The other highlight has been the music of Mani Sharma and the spirited dances of Junior NTR for them.

Junior NTR himself appears much relaxed and seems to be in a better frame of mind.

The pointers are that Junior NTR may pull it off.
