Actor-director Vijaya T Rajendhar is back in action. With the State Assembly elections over, Rajendhar has re-started the shooting of his home production Veerasami. The movie went to floors last year, but due to several delays is still waiting to see its completion.

Starring Mumtaj opposite him, Rajendhar plays a ruffian in the movie.

Also in the cast include Meghna Naidu.

Speaking on the movie, Rajendhar says, 'All the nine songs in the movie set to tunes by me have come out really well. We have shot these songs on a huge sets erected in Chennai studios. Certainly there would be a visual treat for the audience'.

Mumtaj, who was introduced by Rajendhar to filmdom, plays his ladylove. Recently a song featuring T Rajendhar and Mumtaj was shot at Simbu Garden at a huge set erected at a cost Rs 30 lakh. Over 500 liters of milk was procured and an artificial 'milk lake' was created to shoot the song.

A movie for youngsters, Rajendhar says and adds, 'Plans are on to release the movie this August'.

Written, produced, directed and enacted by himself, a major portion of the movie has been shot.
