Thanks to National Film Development Corporation's initiatives, veteran director Mahendran's Sasanam is all set to see the light of the day.

The movie featuring Arvindsamy, Ranjitha and Gowthami is being sponsored by NFDC. According to regional officer of NFDC Ramakrishnan, Mahendran's skills to come out with quality films are widely known. Moreover the script of Sasanam forced us to sponsor the project.

Speaking about his project, Mahendran, who has rendered several blockbusters like Uthiri pookal, Nenjathai Killathe and Mullum Malarum, says, 'The film speaks about unknown customs and conventions that drive our everyday lives. I have tried to convey a strong message that everyone should care for others'.

With a good star cast and able crew by my side, Sasanam has come good, he adds.
