Rumours have been doing the rounds for the last few days that Ajith has opted out of the much hyped Naan Kadavul, an ambitious project of director Bala.

Confirming the reports, Ajith, has said that he has taken the decision to leave the project. "The shooting was supposed to start from 1 May, but there has been no move from Bala's side and hence I decided not to wait anymore."

However denying reports of a difference of opinion between him and Bala over his decision, Ajith, said, "I convinced him of my decision and decided to part with cordiality."

Meanwhile Ajith has signed a movie for producer Mohan Natarajan, which would kick off soon.

Bala, meanwhile is reportedly searching for a suitable hero now. Few names including his protege Surya, Arya and Naren are in the list.
