Efforts were on by several producers including AVM to have former Miss World and busy Bollywood heroine Aishwarya Rai to play the heroine in their movies.
However the actress busy with her previous commitments declined the offers.
But a Tamil movie starring Aishwarya Rai is all set to hit the screens in Tamilnadu.
Hold on. It is a remake of her critically acclaimed Bengali film Choker Bali directed by no less person than Rituparno Gosh.
She plays the role of a young widow who is unable to control her biological inclinations and has an adulterous relationship with her friend's husband. In this controversial subject, Aishwarya Rai has acted without a drape on top.
The movie is based on a novel by Rabindranath Tagore. But unfortunately in Kollywood, the movie has been projected as a sleaze to attract youngsters for Aishwarya appears without a drape on top.
