Srikanth's Sathurangam has been waiting for long time to see the light of the day.

Directed by Karu Palaniappan, the movie starring Srikanth and Sonia Agarwal went to floors almost a couple of years ago.

Though the shooting has been completed, various reasons including a tight financial position of the producer has been delaying its release.

When all troubles were seemingly overcome by the production house, a petition by a financier Senthil at the Madras High Court has come a big blow for the movie.

He alleged in his petition that the production house had taken money from him for satellite rights. Unfortunately they did not honor the commitments as a result of which he sought the court to stay the film.

Hearing the petition, the court granted a stay on the film's release until the dues are settled.
