Meera Vasudevan was all thrilled to receive the Ujala-Asianet Award 2005 for the best female new face award recently for her portrayal as Lekha, a housewife in Tanmatra opposite Mohanlal.
On her role, Meera says, I was a bit apprehensive about playing a 35-year-old. It was a challenge and I am glad I did it. All credit should go to director Blessy.
I am in double joy now for I recently received an award for my movie Unnai Saran Adaithaen in Tamil, a State Award from the hands of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
About Mohanlal, she says, he is a versatile actor. He was a great help in getting the right emotions.
Meera has few movies in her kitty now. Thodi Life Thoda Maja, a Hindi movie opposite Jackie Shroff and a Tamil movie, Jerry with Ramesh Choudhury and also a Malayalam movie with Kalabhavan Mani.
