Rajinikanth is the most watched personality whenever elections arrive in the State.

Be it Assembly or Parliamentary polls, his actions are closely watched and are interpreted in different ways.

With State Assembly elections round the corner, reports of poster war between Rajinikanth fans and PMK cadres --- always at loggerheads with each other --- were reported in parts of south Tamilnadu.

Putting an early halt to such controversies, Rajinikanth's Fans Association president Sathyanarayana has issued a statement urging the actor's fans not to react to any criticism.

Clearly stating that Rajinikanth is firm on staying away from politics, he said 'he (Rajini) has not voiced his support for any alliance. The cadres should make individual assessment and vote on their own likes and dislikes. Any campaign in the name of Rajinikanth should not be carry out'.

Hope that clears the air.
