Director Saran's much awaited Idhaya Thirudan is finally slated to hit theatres on 9 February. Being produced by K Balachander's Kavithalaya, the movie stars Jeyam Ravi and Kamna Jethmalani.

The highlight of the movie is that Saran is wielding the megaphone for his mentor K Balachander, who taught him the nuances of film-making once.

Speaking about the film, Saran, says,' like my earlier films, romance is the base with the lover-couple not facing any external problem, but mostly self-created ones. Commercial ingredients are well laced in the right mix to attract audience. Dialogues by Crazy Mohan, songs and stunts will have its say in the package which also has an item number from the Keralite Jyothirmayi.'

Heaping praises on music-director Bharadwaj, he says, 'his songs are going to rock the masses this year.'

Idhaya Thirudan also has Vani Viswanath, Nasser, Kalpana, Kaka Radhakrishnan, Madan Bob, Crazy Mohan and M S Baskar in the cast. After former heroines like Nathiya, Urvasi, Seetha and Saranya jumped on to the 'mother' bandwagon, Vani Viswanath too has followed suit.
