Director Karu Palaniappan is penning the script for Ashokamithran which would feature Dhanush in the lead role.

He is in great joy for his long-pending movie Sathurangam starring Srikanth and Sonia Agarwal is slated for release early February.

Asked about the trauma that he underwent since Sathurangam was under-production for over a couple of years, Palaniappan, says, 'not just me but the whole unit involved in the movie was dejected as we had to announce the release and postpone it several times. ‘But I have strong belief in the movie and hence a delay in its release would do no damage to it'.

After Parthiban Kanavu, I wanted my next to be quite different from it. Sathurangam would be certainly different since it is a film which has an ordinary story but a swift screenplay'.

Once Dhanush completes his other ventures, I would begin Ashokamithran, says an optimistic Palaniappan.
