She is just a film-old and already there is talk of her settling down in Kollywood. She is Padmapriya, the Malluwood girl, who has made a mark through Cheran's Thavamai Thavamirundu.

'There is a film with Arya (Pattiyal) and some more offers are in the pipeline. Having had a smooth take-off in Malayalam, I would like to explore more and land into projects deviating from the predictability,’ she says.

'Glamour has taken the backstage. It is a healthy scenario now with artistes chosen keeping the story line in mind and not the reputation', she adds.

She longs to be associated with meaningful cinemas. 'One understands the medium better doing quality films. My debut film in Tamil is of the keepsake variety. Having said that, will only be careful to tread a path with scope to perform. Not averse to glamour but it has to gel with the character.’

I would not like to crash land in going for quantity. In the long run, you are only remembered by the characters, the smart actress says.
