Right from Khakhee to Mujse Shaadi Karogi, Aitraaz, Waqt, to Garam Masala, Akshay is going through a fabulous phase. He has also broken into the overseas market and is the highest earning heroes for the producers, in that sector, which was till now the reserves of the 'Khans'.

And correspondingly even his sense of humor has been on the upswing as witnessed by his performance at the Star Screen Award held recently.

Rumors of undercutting his co-stars has persistently dodged Akshay to belittle his success. And more recently Shahid Kapoor and John Abraham had been at the receiving end of Akki's 'Editing' skills.

Akshay sportingly accepted a special award for the 'Best Editor' in the midst of his performance at the award ceremony. Infact Akshay himself in tandem with Sajid Khan planned the impromptu skit.

Mockingly he even wrote the acceptance speech " I just accepted this award for the fun of it. This is a 'special' award and a tribute to my editing skills and is dedicated to all those heroes who have suffered at the editing table because of my 'special skills'
