The year 2006 looks to be going Laila's way. Her much awaited film Paramasivan opposite Ajith is gearing up for release this Pongal, while she has been getting rave reviews for her in Kanda Naal Mudhal, released at the fag end of last year.

More than anything, she has married Mehdi, an Iranian based in Mumbai with whom she had been going steady for about eight years now.

Speaking about the marriage wedding, a bubbly Laila says she had met Mehdi at a friend's place. Though they have been engaged for three years, they kept it under wraps.

"Our families felt it was time we got married," she adds. Mehdi's wedding present to her was a diamond set, while she bought him a watch.

On her films, she says "I had complete confidence in the character in Kanda Naal Mudhal. But I don't know how I have done in Paramasivan.

Ask her if she would be acting after her marriage, and the actress is non-committal.

So maybe, there would be a comeback film.

If things go in the same direction, no doubt she would be the actress to watch out this year.
