Thavamai Thavamirundu is perhaps the movie of the season. It's rare sensitivity and sensibility has moved everyone in the industry.

Even Finance Minister P Chidmabaram, who watched the film, was moved by it and had a strong word of appreciation for it.

But somehow his political allies in the State do not seem to share his views. A TV channel, run his political ally, has been keeping strangely quiet on reviewing the film. While a Tamil eveninger from the same stable has been writing motivated criticisms against Thavamai Thavamirundu.

Everyone accepts the film to be a beautiful one and the criticism from this particular group has a background to it.

But what is that? Nobody knows. Anyway, as if to queer the pitch, Cheran was recently seen at a meeting of the MDMK and spoke about the need for Vaiko (MDMK supreme) to lead the State.
