The Telugu remake of the Tamil hit Tirupachi, titled Annavaram, was formally launched here at the Rama Naidu Studios yesterday.

Starring Pawan Kalyan, the film would be directed by Bhimineni Srinivasa Rao. The duo had earlier worked together in Sushwagata.

Music is by Ramana Gogula and RB Chowdary presents the film while Paras Jain and NV Prasad will produce it under Mega super good Films.

Sandhya will play the sister of Pawan while a search is on for the heroine’s role.

The story is about a brother and sister and the former’s fight against evil forces in the city.
