Ever since Muthu made an impact with the Japanese, Rajnikanth has been a popular figure there.

The news from the Nippon land is that Rajni starrer Chandramukhi has been welcomed in a big way when it got released there a few days ago.

On seeing the overwhelming response, the distributor of Chandramukhi in Japan has promised the fans to release Shivaji, the next Rajni-starrer on the same date of release in Chennai. Meanwhile, adding one more feather in Rajni's crown, he is all set to be part of a French film. French filmmaker Alain Chabat for his French film Rent a Wife has used a martial arts sequence from Rajnikant's Tamil film Muthu (1995) for his movie.
