Happy with the success of his Sivakasi, director Perarasu has commenced his next Tirupathi featuring Ajith in the lead role for AVM.

Taking time off, Perarasu, spells out the secret of his success.

A one-time assistant to directors like Rama Narayanan and Maharajan, Perarasu says, 'I was a great lover of commercial masala movies and watched them in theatres when I was very young. When I became a director I resolved to direct such movies and fortunately they have become hits'.

He adds,'back-to-back hits in Thirupachy and Sivakasi have made me more responsible. Audience have more expectations on me and I should live up to it in Tirupathi'.

Perarasu is sure why he wants to make the kind of films that he does. ‘Pretty simple. People come for entertainment. I provide that. Why tax them any further,’ is his simple logic.

Sound logic, you might as well say considering his success in such a short span.
