Tulasi is a fragrant and a medicinal plant that has many uses and is never off-season.

But the Telugu actress of the same name may seem the opposite. She has been on and off and has been anything but regular.

Yet, her talent is unmistakable ever since she made a precocious debut in Shankarabharanam .

Now that young girl, who has had a chequered career, is back as a screen mother in EVV Satyanarayana's Nuvvante Naakishtam.

This screen mother is also a real mother and she has been kept off the screen due to her commitments with her family. Her beloved son took up her quality time.

She also kept herself busy by writing scripts for her director husband's film. Tulasi who has worked with many top names in the southern film industry is happy that she has had a varied experience.

After lying low for a long time, Tulasi cameback with a Kannada film 'Excuse Me'. After that she was faced with a glut of offers for playing the young mother's role. But she did not choose most of them as it came in the way of her family commitments.

But now things are different. Her son has grown up and the role in Nuvvante Naakishtam is also very good. She is paired opposite Suman.

But then again, Tulasi is not sure whether she will continue to do regular roles.

And that is what adds allure to this Tulasi.
