Not long ago, a local producer reminisces, Tamil director P Vasu was looking for chances in Telugu.

That was the time he was going through a lean patch in Tamil and his films in Telugu too had flopped. But his advances were rebuffed.

But that was then. Now things are totally different.

Vasu is the successful director of Chandramukhi (and also of Apta Mitra). And hit directors in filmdom are different entities.

Not surprisingly then Vasu is being sought after all and sundry in Tollywood.

But the bearded director, who specializes in sentimental dramas with a mass touch, is not ready to take the plunge. He seems to be a man in no hurry.

Though reports say that he is to soon do a film with Balakrishna, he is not ready to confirm anything. All he would say is "I am not ready to jump at offers."

Sources say a couple of Telugu actors (including Balakrishna) seem to have sounded him out. But Vasu has not said yes to any one of them. He has kept his decision in abeyance.

That's is the real meaning of success.
