Remember actress Gayathri Jayaram?

The 'manja Kattu maina girl' never really made it big in Kollywood.

After acting in a couple of eminently forgettable roles, she quickly faded away.

So was the case of Ashima, the Bollywood girl who came to Tamil with Ramana opposite Vijayakanth and later acted with Prabhu Deva in Alauddin.

Now both the actresses are keen to re-establish their presence in the industry. They are geared up for their second innings in which they are hoping to stay for a longer time at the crease.

They are acting together in a movie titled Naanaga Naan Illai to directed by newcomer Nambi.

Guess who plays the hero? It's none but Jay Akash, who in spite of a failure in Ramakrishna has managed to find offers literally pouring his way.

Director Nambi had worked as associate with director Vikraman before.

The movie is all about a youth (Jai Akash), who is accused in a murder case. How he tries to prove his innocence forms the crux of the movie. With Gayathri Jayaram and Ashima ready to ooze glamour in the movie, it is expected to be a visual treat for the audience.

Vadivelu, Sukanya, Kovai Sarala, Abinaya Sri, Shakeela are also in the cast.
