Last year was the best for Meera Jasmine. It was the worst for Meera Jasmine.

She won the National award for a Malayalam film. She also moved up in career stakes.

But her personal life took a major dent with a bitter row between her and her family members. The fight was so bad that it threatened to spill on to the courts. And her foray in Tollywood also did not create any major impact.

She had dual roles in Ammayi Bagundi. Though she did play them well, it was the film's hero Sivaji who made the most out of the film. Then there was Gudumba Shankar. It was out and out Pawan Kalyan's film.

The problem with doing movies with big stars is that they get talked when the film is a hit, and not a hit. Gudumba was a failure, and nobody really cared whether Meera was in it or not.

Now Meera's big test in Telugu is round the corner.

She is doing Badra with Ravi Teja. The film is slated for summer (April) release. Meera feels though the film, directed by newcomer Boyapati Srinu, is a commercial one, she has more than an adequate role.

She says she has enjoyed working in Telugu where the fun element is high.

Depending upon Badra's result is Meera's career in Telugu.
