In the Thanks meet held by the team Papanasam` for media and press people for spreading the positive word about the Jeetu Joseph directorial and making it a success, the film`s lead actor Kamal Haasan said that Media and Press supporting good films will get more opportunities for actors like him to do good films.

Here are the excerpts of the veteran actor`s address to the press and media persons gathered at the venue:

“It`s a celebration that is bound to be conducted. This is not a success party. We celebrated the success when the film was completed in just 40 days. We celebrated director Jeetu Joseph`s efforts in doing so, for that itself is a success for the producers. This is a Thanks meet. I thank you for taking a good film to the people. I also wish to thank the people who supported this film by way of thanking you”

Reiterating the inevitability of press's support for good films, Kamal said “You (Press and Media) should support good films. You should support them when they release. I see a lot of old films being appreciated in websites. But doing that at the time of the film`s release will help all of us. Your support get the opportunity to do more good films for not only me, but also to all other actors who are my brothers. “

Kamal Haasan also shared an interesting fact about Mohan Lal, who played the lead role in the Malayalam original Drishyam` which has been reprised by him in Tamil. “I heard from my friends and reliable sources that Mohan Lal said that Kamal would be the best choice to do this film in Tamil. I thank Lal for his generous recommendation.”

The veteran actor who appreciated and thanked the contribution of the entire unit said “I wish to thank the producers. It is because of their effort this film could be completed in such a short span of time. I am even jealous on them as a producer myself.”

Speaking about the creative department of the film, the man who himself has written many successful and acclaimed films said. “One person who is not here, but has to be celebrated, is the film`s dialogue writer Jeyamohan who has to be appreciated. Two writers Jeyamohan and Suga worked in this film without and creative differences. Both the writers have every reason to be prideful, but they worked together happily for the film. Also Jeethu Joseph should be thanked for accepting the suggestions made by others in the map he has drawn.”
