Cinematographer-director Balu Mahendra has completed his Adhu Oru Kaana Kaalam and is awaiting its release.

This Dhanush- Priyamani starrer is a romantic entertainer set to tunes by Ilayaraja.

No sooner the shooting was completed than the director was all praise for the heroine Priyamani.

Balu Mahendra noted for introducing heroines like Archana, Shobha and Mounica says,
“Priyamani has come up with an excellent performance in the movie. Her performance would be widely acclaimed.”

Balu Mahendra is not man to lavish praise needlessly. A true connoisseur he gives where only it is due.

Not stopping with this, Balu Mahendra has in fact gone one step further.

He says, “director Baharathiraja is known for exploring talented actresses. His find Priyamani (she made her debut in Bharathiraja's Kangalal Kaidu Sei) will become a popular actress after Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam”.

“More than anything she is one Tamil actress who speaks good Tamil”, he says.

And that is indeed a rarity these days.
