M Karunanidhi, the DMK supremo, is the flavor of the season in Kollywood.

Though his Kannamma has not set the cash registers ringing, he continues renewed interest in writing dialogues for films.

So keeping in with the trend, a documentary on Karunanidhi is under production now.

The documentary will throw light on Kalaignar's contribution to Tamil filmdom, his ability with the language and his tenure as Chief Minister.

Interestingly, noted lyricist Vairamuthu appears in the documentary and narrates the life and times of Karunanidhi on screen.
